Jordan Devlin – Wunderkammer

Wunderkammer was a group show initiated by Knox City Council and held at The Hut Gallery, Ferntree Gulley. The exhbition featured 11 works by Jordan, covering painting, collage and assemblage.

From the Press Release:

The tradition of the Wunderkammer is explored through the notion of archiving. Archiving objects brings into notion the reasons for collecting and who and what the archive is designed for. The show considers contemporary material production, and the increase of disposable goods. These works consider the cycle of life, and purpose. They look to question what is important. The materials used in the work were recycled fragments, found in the street or purchased second hand, that together create a new whole.
